holy bat cave, man!
what a din, Gungadin!
a battle roars within
one of the trio of caves
and the gorges that took centuries
to mature, like the cheese…
.
the fable is that a dragon
dwells there as well…
.
well, well… you can chew the fat or crack your teeth
on that tale , or not
it’s all the same to me
it’s all as different as not
getting involved between a rock and a soft substance
it’s hard, as i happen to be both
lactose intolerant , claustrophobic
and ignorant
so i won’t get dragged in
by a dragon or not
to any argument on the subject of
cheddars and gorges, chalks and cheeses
i give in before it even starts
chalk or cheese? same difference, Lancelot !

Day 22 prompt.- write a poem in which two things have a fight. Two very unlikely things, if you can manage it. Like, maybe a comb and a spatula. Or a daffodil and a bag of potato chips. Or perhaps your two things could be linked somehow – like a rock and a hard place – and be utterly sick of being so joined. The possibilities are endless!
A lot of smell,
A lot to chew on!
